Steve grew up in a “Christian” home, but didn’t really have a relationship with God until his teenage years. After the loss of a close family member when he was 13 years old, Steve realized his need to have a genuine relationship with God. By his senior year in high school, Steve knew that God was calling him into full time ministry with youth. Steve attended Wayland Baptist University, where he graduated with a B.A. in Religious Education in 2004.
Steve considers himself incredibly blessed to have been able to serve over the past eight years in churches from Alaska to Massachusetts and down to Texas. Steve believes that today’s teenagers are not just the “church of tomorrow,” but they are an important part of the church right now. His goal in ministry is to help students grow in their personal relationship with God through Bible study, prayer, discipleship, and having a bunch of fun too! Not only that, but he also desires to help equip, encourage, and come alongside parents to help raise Godly children. Rumor has it, that he may also be a ninja. What we know for sure is that he’s addicted to Dr. Pepper and Jesus, and he’s happy with that!
